Keynote Speaker: Jollene Levid
Jollene is a Regional Organizer for United Teachers Los Angeles - the second largest teachers union in the US, which went on strike and won this past January 2019. She has been a union organizer, contract negotiator, and former union director for over 16 years in the US education and healthcare industries, and for two organizing campaigns in the Philippines. Jollene Levid is the Founding Chairperson of AF3IRM, an anti-imperialist/transnational feminist organization for women of color, and has been a part of the organization for 17 years, currently serving on AF3IRM's International Committee. She graduated from Bravo High School, received her BA in Political Science and Asian American Studies at UC Irvine, and got her Masters in Social Work from USC. Jollene hails from Northeast Los Angeles, is a mother, martial artist, and bookworm.

In the great tradition of the Chicano student walk-outs that took place across East Los Angeles in 1968, we continue to nurture a community of resistance and resilience.
