Counselors of this camp are not just counselors in a traditional sense (making sure everyone's on the bus, etc.)--they are facilitators of learning who help students reckon with their own racial identities and their place in the world. Each counselor will lead a project group of 6-7 campers and serve as a role model for all.
The Institute will take place from June 22 to June 29, 2019. Counselors will arrive at the camp on Wednesday, June 19th for training. They will also participate in training activities during the spring semester.
Counselors will receive a stipend for the week of the camp. All meals and housing will be covered in addition to the stipend.
Applications for counselors will be due by Monday, February 25th 2019 by 11:59pm.
