As we approach the voting process for the Most Valuable Player (MVP) and All-Region teams, I would like to provide some important guidelines to ensure clarity and fairness in the selection process.
When voting for your team, you are encouraged to select the player you consider to be the best on your team as MVP. This may be the standout player of your team or the best performer in the tournament, depending on your perspective. There are two bonus votes for your team, these are for the MVP of the tournament. Please keep in mind that there will be a limited number of All-Region team selections, so your team's vote carries significant weight. You are encouraged to vote for the best player on your team.
For the opposing team, we ask that you vote for the MVP from the games you played. If you are unsure of a player's name, please refer to what is recorded in the scorebook. Often, your vote will align with the opponent's choice for their MVP in that game. In the Bonus Vote, you may vote for the best player of the tournament, not on your team, whether you competed against them at Regionals or not.
It is essential to remember that MVP stands for the Most Valuable Player, as you perceive it.
Regarding All-Region teams, we will announce these if we gather enough unique votes to form a team by combining the top vote earners from our four different regions. However, please note that not all age groups may have sufficient votes to declare an MVP or an All-Region team.
Lastly, All-American teams will be limited to age groups that will have an All-American Game at Nationals, taking place on the Drury University O'Reilly Center Court. Just like NCHBC 2024, 18U is the only age group that will be having All-American selection, with additional AA Games format currently being finalized and an announcement pending.
Thank you for your participation in this process and for supporting your teams!
