Student Diversity Leadership Conference Application
Dear Rising 9th-12th Grade Students,

I am writing to invite you to apply for the Student Diversity Leadership Conference (SDLC) from December 4-7, 2019, in Seattle, Washington. All students who are rising seniors, juniors, sophomores, and first years are encouraged to apply.

SDLC is one of the many ways that Rolling Hills Prep and Renaissance Schools affirms our school commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Past participants share that this is a transformative leadership experience. SDLC is a multiracial, multicultural gathering of more than 1,600 upper school student leaders (grades 9-12) from across the U.S. The conference focuses on self-reflecting, forming allies, and building community. Led by a diverse team of trained adult and peer facilitators, participants will develop effective cross-cultural communication skills, better understand the nature and development of effective strategies for social justice, practice expression through the arts, and learn networking principles and strategies.

The SDLC conference is a unique opportunity and participating schools are offered a limited number of student slots. For any questions, please contact email

Ms. Padua-Douglas
School Counselor and Diversity & Inclusion Coordinator
