The Path to Publishing Application

Thank you for your interest in applying to The Path to Publishing. This is a collaborative anthology designed to map out the modern, non-linear, and complex realities of being a working writer today.

We are looking for a select group of authors with unique journeys to write a dedicated narrative chapter detailing their specific path, their structural hurdles, and their industry triumphs.

Why Partner With Us

  • Equity: This is a professional partnership. If you are selected, you will receive an equitable royalty split of the book's earnings.

  • We've Already Vetted The Path: We have active interest from social media influencers, classrooms, and indie bookstores for distribution, alongside an established literary agent interested in shopping the completed project to major publishers.

  • Cross-Promotion: You are encouraged to feature and market your own books within your chapter and during promotional appearances, provided the overarching book remains the core focus.

Your Commitment

  • Writing: Penning a compelling, transparent chapter (approx. 2,000–3,000 words) detailing your specific publishing journey.

  • Editing: Engaging in a collaborative developmental editing process to ensure a high-quality, polished narrative.

  • Marketing Support: Showing up for pre-booked marketing appearances down the road (e.g., guesting on podcasts or participating in virtual workshops). We handle all scheduling and logistics—you just show up and share your expertise.

Who We Are Looking For
To make this a definitive guide, representation matters. We are seeking a wide spread of genres and author demographics. We recognize that some backgrounds face a much steeper climb in this industry than others; highlighting those systemic barriers—and how you overcame them—is a core mission of this book.
