Dear parents / carers and children,

Thank you for taking part in this questionnaire for PARENTS AND CHILDREN of Belmont Primary School. The questionnaire should take no longer than 15 minutes. The deadline to participate is FRIDAY 17 JULY. Please read the information below carefully before taking part.

QUESTIONNAIRE INFORMATION
This questionnaire comprises TWO SECTIONS - one for PARENTS and one for CHILDREN - and is limited to ONE RESPONSE PER HOUSEHOLD. Several children from the same household can participate in the questionnaire: just follow the instructions at the end of the children's section to allow another child to take the questionnaire. You can edit your response just after submitting should you wish to amend or review your answers. You will need to log in to a Google account to participate.

PROJECT'S PURPOSE AND SUMMARY
This questionnaire is part of an Action Research project about the forced move from face-to-face to online modern foreign language (MFL) teaching at Belmont Primary School during the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic for a Master of Arts (MA) dissertation in Applied Linguistics at Kingston University London. The research follows my experience as a French teacher in creating a new remote language learning website for the school. https://sites.google.com/belmontprimary.school/belmontfrench/home

INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPANTS
- You have been invited to participate in this questionnaire because you are the parent/carer or a pupil at the school where this study is taking place and your views about the website and remote French learning are invaluable to my research.

- All information gained from participants is anonymous and will be strictly confidential.

- You will NOT be asked your name. Your child/children will NOT be asked their name(s).

- All raw data from the questionnaire will be password protected and downloaded on my personal computer.

- In the reporting of the project, no information will be released which will enable the reader to identify who the respondent was.

PARENTAL CONSENT
- As the parent of children under 18 years old you MUST GIVE CONSENT for yourself and your child / children in order to take part in this questionnaire.

- You are free to withdraw from the research and leave the questionnaire at any time by not submitting at the end. Please note that you will not be able to withdraw from the research after submitting as the questionnaire is anonymous and I will not be able to know which questionnaire you completed.

FURTHER INVOLVEMENT
At the end of this questionnaire you will be given the option to participate further in the research by giving your email address.
