🌳 "A Day of Kindness" Community Tree Planting Event! 🌳
Join Us to Beautify Our Neighborhood and Combat Climate Change!
We (Shining Light Foundation, Trees Matter, District 8, City Of Phoenix Office Of Heat Response and Mitigation) invite you to participate in our Community Tree Planting Day! This event is a wonderful opportunity to give back to the environment, learn about the importance of planting trees, and connect with fellow community members.
Event Details:
Date: Dec 7th
Time: 9 AM to 12 PM
Location: Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School, 4615 S 22nd St, Phoenix, AZ 85040
Age Requirement: 5+ Children must be accompanied by an adult
What to Expect:
Plant Trees: Help us plant several species of trees that will enhance our community’s greenery.
Learn: Receive guidance from experienced arborists on proper planting techniques, learn about tree care and the significant role trees play in our lives .
Community Connection: Meet new friends and enjoy the outdoors while making a positive impact.
Community Fellowship: Enjoy complimentary food and lively dance music from Dj D Boy!
Team Leader Expectations
As a Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our tree planting event. You will guide a group of volunteers and make sure safety guidelines are being followed, report any concerns or issues that arise during the event. Lastly, assist in cleaning up the site and collecting all tools supplied.
What to Bring:
Comfortable clothing and closed toed shoes
Reusable water bottle
