In the On Track program you are expected to:
• Be in attendance for your session that you have enrolled in. Attendance is kept in accordance with the state. After 15 consecutive absences you will be archived and will have no longer access to the classes. You will need to apply for readmission to the program via your counselor and the On Track teacher. Once a student completes their course(s), they do not need to attend the remainder of the session. If you are absent on the first day of your session, it counts as an absence. Please contact the On Track teacher Rick Bouwens at 651-213-2563 or Rbouwens@isd2144.org if you are going to be absent. This is not a DROP in program. You will receive an email two days prior to being archived if you have had poor attendance.
• Be on time and log in to their class. Once you have achieved 80 minutes with no idle time, you have fulfilled their attendance requirement for the day. They can choose to stay longer if they wish.
• Be focused and work the full time. This means no talking, sleeping, playing games, simply not working (being idol for 10 minutes), etc. Students are here to recover credits, not to waste time. This is not a seat time program. You get no credit for seating in your seat doing nothing. You are only wasting your time if you want to do this.
• Have good behavior at all times. This is KEY to being in the On Track program. If a student is disrespectful, distracting, rude, argumentative, non-compliant, etc in any way, they will get 1 warning and then will be dismissed from the session immediately and it will count as 1 absence.
Important!• You may work on their class(es) at home as well. As soon a you finish the required credits needed you are no longer required to attend. Please verify with your counselor.
Credit:You will receive credit once they complete their course with 100% completion and a passing grade (60% or higher). Your course report will be sent to the registrar and their counselor who will update the students transcript. I will also make every attempt to send you an electronic email of this as well for your records.
Please answer each question for the application.
