Henry and Barbara Horldt Excellence in Teaching Award - 2020 Nomination Form
The Henry and Barbara Horldt Excellence in Teaching Award will be presented to a faculty member who have distinguished themselves in the classroom as an OUTSTANDING TEACHER.

2019-2020 academic year has been a very challenging time with all of us being called upon to quickly and swiftly adapt to changes in how we deliver knowledge, learn, or both. Besides nominations that are highlighting overall teaching qualities, we are encouraging nominations that also consider faculty that:

+ Went to extraordinary lengths to be attentive to students and flexible in smoothly transitioning to an online teaching and learning environment, during the second part of the Spring 2020 semester

+ Have mentored colleagues into adopting contemporary methods of teaching and/or technology inclusion,

+ Have participated in the scholarship of teaching and learning and shared their knowledge and experiences in formal and/or informal activities across campus and beyond.

Nominations for the award will be accepted through the electronic form below. Faculty members, students, and administrators are encouraged to nominate worthy candidates. Lawrence Technological University faculty, adjunct faculty, and instructors who have taught at the university for AT LEAST FIVE YEARS are eligible to receive the award. Finalists for the award will be asked to submit a one-page Statement of Teaching Philosophy and a CV. Final selection will be done during fall 2020 by the Provost.

Please join us in recognizing excellence in teaching at LTU by submitting a nomination. This award will be presented Fall 2020.
