Songwriting Workshop
In this class, we'll explore several common songs forms in a variety of genres and styles - from pop to theatre to art song -and challenge ourselves to write something new each week, according to a given set of parameters.

Every session will include discussions of lyrics, musical building blocks, and arrangements, as well as listening examples and peer critique of the songs we're working on. There will also be opportunities to collaborate and perform each others' work. Each Workshop cycle will culminate in an informal showcase.

Led by Emily Goldman, our wonderful new piano faculty here at Opus Ithaca.
