Background
Past decades of Cal Poly alumni of the national social fraternity, Delta Sigma Phi, now presently closed, believe in giving back.  

We give educational awards to deserving first-year students who are unaffiliated with any fraternity or sorority (not a pledge or initiated member at the time of application).  These awards are our way of giving-back to our alma mater.  We give these philanthropic awards to honor our older DSP brothers who built the “P” in 1957; and, to promote our Fraternity’s goal of helping young people better themselves and benefit the communities they will live in.
Eligibility
The Poly P Scholarship is non-renewable and annually awarded to two first-year students.  Applicants for the Scholarship cannot be a new or initiated member of any social Greek-letter organization at the time of their application, must be a full-time student (12 or more units), and in their first quarter at Cal Poly.  Applicants who choose to join any fraternity or sorority subsequent to application, and prior to selection of the award winners, will not be given any preference.
Instructions
Applicants, for your protection, we do not ask for confidential information such as Social Security number, driver’s license number, date of birth, student identification number, etc.  Please DO NOT volunteer this information.  

The first day applications will be accepted is Monday, November 2, 2021.  Out of fairness to all applicants, applications will not be accepted after midnight Pacific Time on Friday, December 17, 2021.  If you have any problem submitting your application, you may call Mr. Chris Patterson at 530-941-3986 between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Pacific Time.
