Please review the following important information before registering your child for camp. More detailed information and a packing list will be sent to you after receiving your registration form. A limited number of need-based scholarships are available. Scholarships will be awarded to applicants that write a letter (or e-mail) explaining their financial need; this letter should be e-mailed or mailed to email@example.com or P.O. Box 207 Selma, OR 97538. Snacks & Lunches – Each day includes a healthy snack provided by SFI. Lunch and other meals are provided for the Siskiyou Wilderness Science Expedition and the Solar Energy Camp. Nature Discovery Day Camp provides lunch and snacks ONLY and Junior Explorer Day Camp only provides snacks. Please provide any additional snacks you think your child might need for all camps. If your child has dietary restrictions or allergies, please note this information on the registration form.
Drinking Water – SFI recommends bringing a reusable water bottle to camp each day. Water stations are available for campers to refill whenever they want.
Clothing – Play clothes are best. Programs are held rain or shine, primarily outside with access to indoor facilities only in the case of inclement weather. Please dress accordingly (layers are always appropriate) and wear closed-toe, closed-heel shoes that can get wet and/or muddy.
Medical & Emergency Information – So that we may obtain the best care for your child in case of an emergency, please complete all the medical information on the program registration form and call our office if any changes come up. Label all prescription medications (including dosage) and hand it to the Camp Director when dropping off your child. Since we are not permitted to dispense medication, your child must be able to self-medicate.
If you would like more information about the programs that we offer, please see our website at thesfi.org or contact our Youth Education Programs Coordinator, Sarah Worthington at firstname.lastname@example.org or 541-597-8530. Thank you!
