GREEN HUB NORTHEAST INDIA FELLOWSHIP 2026-2027

The Green Hub Video Fellowship is a one-year residential program that offers a unique opportunity for youth residing in the northeast region of India. The fellowship is designed to engage and empower young individuals in the fields of environmental conservation, sustainable livelihoods, and social change, through the medium of video and storytelling.

This initiative aims to foster a sense of environmental responsibility while providing practical skills and knowledge towards sustainable living. Participants will be immersed in a transformative experience, where they will learn to harness the power of storytelling and video production to drive positive change in their communities.

A. The Green Hub Fellowship will offer:
·  One-year residential fellowship based in Tezpur, Assam
· Training in video and photo documentation
· Internship of 10 months within the fellowship year with basic stipend of up to INR 5,000/-
· Learning about environment conservation, sustainable livelihood, indigenous knowledge, climate action, and community well-being
· Training from experts and practitioners in the field of filmmaking and environment conservation

B. Criteria for application:

· Age group: 18-35 years (exceptions can be made in some extraordinary cases)
· Have strong communication skills in at least one local language
· Have completed class 12
· Be willing to commit 12 months for training and internship
· Have a strong interest in working with communities on the conservation of wildlife, biodiversity, and the environment
· Be ordinarily resident of northeast India (Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura and north part of Bengal)

*Applicants from marginalized communities and economically weaker sections will be given priority. Green Hub is committed to providing equal opportunities to both women and men. Applicants must not have any formal affiliation with any political party. Basic reading and writing skills in Hindi and English is preferred (though it is not essential). Fellows should have the ability and be fit enough to work effectively in challenging environment.


C. Selection process (Tentative dates):
1. Last date for applications: 28th February, 2026
2. Completion of phone interviews: By 20th of March, 2026
3. Face to face interviews in Tezpur for final selection: By 1st week of April, 2026
4. Final announcement of cohort: By 18th April, 2026
5. The decision of the selection panel will be final and no queries will be entertained or explanations provided for the selections
7. Joining date: 1st week of May, 2026
