Student Registration for CENG Virtual Hackathon 2026
Sign up for the Computer Engineers of the Next Generation's FREE virtual hackathon on Saturday, February 28 and Sunday, March 1, 1–5 p.m. on both days. NO coding experience is needed to join!

In small groups of 3–5, participants will have the opportunity to work together and learn to code in Scratch, JavaScript, or Python. Workshops and games will be interspersed throughout the event to guide students of any experience level through the process.

At the end of the hackathon, students will present their work to a panel of judges in the field based on a rubric consisting of creativity, complexity/functionality, collaboration, and presentation. After the coding portion of the hackathon is over, participants will have the opportunity to listen to our guest speaker.

The Hackathon is hosted fully virtually on Zoom. Please mark your calendars for February 28 and March 1, 2025 from 1:00–5:00 p.m. We will send you the Zoom links a few days before the event.

Regístrese para el hackathon virtual GRATUITO de Ingenieros Informáticos de la Próxima Generación el sábado 28 de febrero y domingo 1 de marzo, de 1 a 5 p.m. en ambos días. ¡NO se necesita experiencia en codificación para unirse!

En pequeños grupos de 3 a 5 personas, los participantes tendrán la oportunidad de trabajar juntos y aprender a codificar en Scratch, JavaScript o Python. Se intercalarán talleres y juegos a lo largo del evento para guiar a los estudiantes de cualquier nivel de experiencia a lo largo del proceso.

Al final del hackathon, los estudiantes presentarán su trabajo ante un panel de jueces en el campo basándose en una rúbrica que consiste en creatividad, complejidad/funcionalidad, colaboración y presentación. Una vez finalizada la parte de codificación del hackathon, los participantes tendrán la oportunidad de escuchar a nuestro orador invitado.
