COMMUNITY ART EXHIBITION | Lunch and Learn: Artist Talk + Guided Tour – RSVP

To See the Beauty of My People: A Tribute to Sylvia Rivera's Dream is a Spring 2026 artist residency with acclaimed artist Jay Lynn Gomez (she/her/ella), hosted by Fresno State's LGBTQ2+ Programs and Services in partnership with Casita Feliz.

During the residency, Fresno State students and community members had the opportunity to create artwork alongside Gomez and their peers through a Student Studio Workshop at Fresno State and a Community Art Workshop at Casita Feliz.

The culminating exhibition, To See the Beauty of My People, showcases Fresno State student work, contributions from Central Valley community members, and archival pieces from local queer and trans visionaries. The exhibition will be on view March 19–27, 2026, in the Pete P. Peters Ellipse Balcony (3rd Floor)—an intimate gallery overlooking the Leon S. Peters Ellipse Gallery (2nd Floor).

By submitting this RSVP form, you are confirming your intention to attend the Lunch & Learn – Artist Talk + Guided Tour, presented by LGBTQ2+ Programs and Services in partnership with Casita Feliz and LGBTQ2+ Studies, with support from the LGBTQ+ Allies Faculty & Staff Network.
