The Guidance List for the repOrting of Bibliometric AnaLyses (GLOBAL) was developed to enhance the transparency of bibliometric analyses in scholarly literature. Despite the growing use of bibliometric methods, standardized reporting practices remain limited, leading to inconsistencies, reduced clarity, and challenges in reproducibility. To address this gap, we developed the GLOBAL through a comprehensive literature review and a two-round modified Delphi process involving international bibliometric experts.
As the GLOBAL reaches its final stages, we seek your expertise in assessing the feasibility and usefulness of the guideline in real-world applications. We kindly invite you to pilot test the GLOBAL by applying it either to your own work or to that of others when you are reviewing it. Your feedback on the implementation of the GLOBAL will help refine the guideline to better support researchers and peer reviewers in enhancing the reporting quality of bibliometric analyses worldwide.
Your insights are invaluable to this initiative, and all contributions will be acknowledged in the final publication of the guideline and publications about it. We truly appreciate your time and expertise in shaping the future of bibliometric reporting practices.
