To explore the new scientific opportunities provided by picosecond pulses of synchrotron radiation, we are organizing a workshop entitled Opportunities for Picosecond Science at Synchrotron SOLEIL June 13 & 14, 2019.  The workshop will help to identify new scientific opportunities that would be enabled by the availability of these short pulses produced with all of the beneficial characteristics of synchrotron radiation.  After presentations of the upgrade plans of SOLEIL, including short pulse capabilities, scientific breakout sessions will be led by selected invited experts to discuss time resolved applications in magnetism, structural dynamics, chemistry and AMO sciences.
