Dear West Island Community,
We are writing to inform you of several upcoming opportunities. The Higher Education and Careers Team is excited to announce that we will be continuing our Coffee and College series that will have our team presenting a monthly session on various topics related to Post-Secondary Education. The HE Team will present on a specific topic for about 20 minutes, followed by approximately 20 minutes of Question and Answer on the session's designated topic. Following this, there will be a brief intermission so people can leave if they have other commitments. With the remaining time, we will run a general Post-Secondary Education Question and Answer session. These sessions will be open to all West Island families (Y7-Y12) - space permitting. Families who aren't able to attend will be able to access the slides and a video after the event.
We will be running the following events over the next few months:
April 11th - Using Unifrog to research about university and careers
May 30th - Introduction to the HK and UK application processes
June 12th - Introduction to the US and Canadian application process
All events will be in the Auditorium, and will run from 08:00 to 09:00 in the morning.
Please be reminded that West Island School does not have onsite parking.
