Thank you for your interest in serving on the West Woods PTA Executive Board. The West Woods PTA is seeking candidates for the positions of:
1). PresidentPresident duties include but are not limited to the: Coordination of Officers and Committees,
presides over PTA Meetings (Agenda/Guest Speakers) and Board of Director Meetings. Works
closely with school principal to schedule all PTA events, coordinating open house/school picnics,
field day, fundraisers and school wide intensive program, etc. Communicates with PTA Council,
Board of Ed Rep on upcoming events/meetings. Update One Call Now Notification System
including calls, emails, text messages.
2). Vice President
Assists President in all roles and responsibilities. Contact President 2 weeks prior to each PTA
meeting to obtain agenda. Provide meeting notices to Facebook managers and Room Parent
Coordinator 1 week prior to each PTA meeting. Prepare, copy and hang signs at school
advertising upcoming PTA meetings 3 days prior to each meeting. Notify Committee Chairs of
meetings, etc. Review bank statements monthly Assist with Handbook and all means of
communication within the school community.
3). Secretary
Attends, takes Notes, and maintains all general PTA and Board of Directors Minutes to be used
for record keeping purposes.
