2019 AAA AD student mentoring event registration
Navigating Careers in Archaeology: A Student Mentoring Session Sponsored by the Archaeology Division (AD)

Curious about how to navigate your career in archaeology? Need advice on grant writing and publishing? Unsure of how to navigate the academic job market or what other career options are actually available? Interested in making community engagement a part of your research?

This student mentoring event will consist of roundtables hosted by Archaeology Division Executive Board members—experienced academics and professionals—who will facilitate discussions on a number of topics related to archaeology careers and research. Participants are encouraged to bring their questions concerning the academic job market, alternative careers in higher education, cultural heritage careers, grant writing, publication (for academic and public audiences), and collaborative archaeology.

This is a great opportunity to network with peers who share similar interests or aspirations. Open to any student (undergraduate, master’s, or PhD) or recent graduate with an interest in archaeology, cultural heritage, and related fields.

Space is limited to 50 participants & coffee/tea + pastries will be served.
