In order to volunteer, you must be at least 18 years old, have graduated from High School, do not have any family members attending camp as a camper this year, and be able to be on-site for the entire camp weekend (overnight). All volunteers must be able to meet a criminal background check and attend all required trainings and events. New volunteers will be contacted to schedule a phone interview, complete the Reference Process, and are required to attend New Volunteer Training. Please note that although we attempt to place every volunteer applicant, we may not be able to accept all applicants due to the large number of applications received. Volunteers will be assigned based on the needs of the camp and campers.
ALL VOLUNTEERS, please make arrangements to attend the following required trainings and events: • All Day Volunteer Training - Saturday, March, 30, 2019 (approx. 8am-5pm) • Save Your Spot Event - TO BE DETERMINED • Camp Weekend - Friday, May 3, 2019 approx. 9am - Sunday, May 5, 2019 approx. 4pm.
NEW VOLUNTEERS, GRIEF SPECIALISTS, and/or FAMILY ASSESSMENT COUNSELORS, additional training dates are required: • Family Assessment Counselor Training - Saturday, February 9, 2019 (approx. 8am - 3pm) *Camp Director will be in contact regarding Assessment Dates needed • New Volunteer Training - Saturday, March 16, 2019 (approx. 9am-12pm) • Grief Specialist Training - Saturday, March 16, 2019 (approx. 1pm-4pm)
