Traditional Recreation Cheerleading Teams is where participants perform a 2 minute and 30 second routine consisting of tumbling, cheer, stunts, jumps, and dance.
10yo and younger teams:
August through January
Competition Teams Costs:
All competition cheerleaders must pay a $115 registration fee. This helps to purchase/replace/maintain uniforms, equipment (signs, poms, megaphones, flags) and other needs.
This registration fee does include their uniform rental and competition bow (they keep).
All competition cheerleaders will have an additional cost for Choreography and Camps.
This allows for additional fundraisers to be run, and donations, towards these specific costs
All competition cheerleaders must pay a monthly fee. Included in the monthly fee are facility rentals, professional costs, travel costs to local (in-state) competitions, and competition registrations fees.
Estimated monthly team fees:
- 3yo-5yo teams - Practices once a week - starting in August with Camp ($TBD)

Team Placement
Cheerleaders are evaluated during camps, classes and clinics that they attend.
Cheerleaders returning to the Minnesota Jets will have their previous year evaluated for behavior, skills, and attendance.
Evaluations are made using our core values:
Spirit, Accountability, Work Ethic, Safety, Integrity (SAWSI)
Coaches will work to place every cheerleader within the team they will be most successful for skill development and advancement, competitions, and performance abilities. A cheerleader or parent may have their heart set on a specific team, however, we want our cheerleaders to be placed with the team that they will have the best and most rewarding experience. Placing a student on a team that is too advanced, or requires a higher level of expectations and work before they are ready can risk injury, burnout, emotional stress, and issues with confidence. We ask that all cheerleaders and parents "trust the process".
**HARDSHIP AND FINANCIAL BARRIERS - DISCLAIMER**
We understand that economic hardships are very real situations, and as a nonprofit we will work with any families. We believe that financial obstacles should not be a reason why a child misses the opportunity to experience cheerleading. Please reach out for information about our hardship scholarship.
