This program is for eligible girls who are 16 or older and who are interested in exploring in-depth the STEM career field of flying commercial-grade drones. Students selected will be enrolling in the Fly Like A Girl (FLAG) Drone Academy which will begin on May 30th. Students will receive specialized instruction and curriculum from a certified Academy instructor. Students will be able to earn an FAA certificate, which is required in the Drone Industry. Additionally, students will be assigned a lead teacher who will help facilitate, coordinate, and support these experiences that pertain to the FLAG Academy. There is no cost for students who are accepted into this program. Students who apply for this experience and who are selected are committing themselves to attend workshops, training sessions, meetings, and completing the required curriculum and activities associated with the Academy.
Please submit an application for each student who is interested in applying for this FLAG Academy experience by September 30th. By submitting this form, you are acknowledging that you have parental permission to participate in the Academy, if selected. Space is limited, so applications may be competitive, so make sure you answer all questions fully and to the best of your ability.
