San Diego (county-wide) COVID-19 Mutual Aid - We All We Got SD
***We are an all-volunteer grassroots group operating in Kumeyaay territories.***
This list is being compiled by San Diego organizers Christina Griffin-Jones (she/her/hers) and Candice “DJ Kuttin Kandi” Custodio-Tan (she/her/hers) to share with groups that are doing mutual aid work around COVID-19 in San Diego, county-wide (meaning North County, East County, the Beaches, South Bay, Central San Diego). The efforts we are aware of are still in development, but people have been reaching out to volunteer, so we wanted to start getting a list ready so people can be contacted as asks arise. We will be sharing this list with trusted groups doing mutual aid in San Diego, county-wide, who are organizing mutual aid. We will not use or share the info you provide for any other purpose.
Thank you so much for looking out for others during a crisis that is reinforcing individualism in increasingly harmful ways. Safe distancing is important, but we also have to be able to hold each other, even when we're apart. Our government has failed us. We must love and care for one another. Important: Noting that you would like to be contacted about any of the work mentioned below does not constitute a hard and fast commitment. We know people's circumstances can be unpredictable. Checking "yes" just means we may hit you up if an opportunity to do that kind of volunteering arises.
We would like to thank organizer in Chicago, Kelly Hayes, because we copied this form from theirs.

I am not able to help out in this regard.
Can we contact you for driving work?
*
Volunteer drivers take all safety precautions and travel to supply donors' locations or store, shop or pick up supplies, and then drop-off the food/supplies OUTSIDE of community members or volunteer's location. The destination may be someone in quarantine or immuno-compromised. Note: Check-in phone calls to explain best practices will happen before any volunteer work is done. People over 50 and people with underlying conditions should be especially cautious in these times, so this option will not be right for everyone. Please do whatever you must to remain well.
