Cultivate Choreographer Application
All applications and supporting materials are due to Motus by July 28, 2017. You will be notified of acceptance by August 4, 2017.

Project requirements:
- All choreographers must complete the following elements of the Cultivate Project.
- Attend and participate in one community workshop, lead by Motus staff, at one of our partnering community centers.
- Complete the choreographic process, including completion of scheduled rehearsals, attendance of feedback sessions, and thorough cleaning and refinement of the finished product.
- Pieces may not exceed 10 minutes in length.

New and Noteworthy for 2017:
- No application fee.
- Increased support and mentorship for participating choreographers.
- Participation in 1 community workshop facilitated by Motus staff at one of our partnering centers.
- Informally present an excerpt of your completed work at one of our partnering community centers.
- Audience response feedback.
- No competitive element, no cash prize.
- Access to professional video and photographic documentation of works.
- Dance on film submissions are welcomed.

Cultivate Schedule:
- Applications due: July 28
- Dancer Auditions: Monday, August 7, 7 - 9pm (alternative arrangements available)
- Rehearsals: August - November
- Group feedback rehearsals: September 24 & October 29
- Tech/Dress, and Community Presentations: November 5 - 9

- Community Center Workshops/Presentations October-November TBD
- Basile Opera Center Performances: November 10 & 11

Motus reserves the right to cancel any piece that does not fully complete the choreographic process or is inappropriate for performance. All expenses, including but not limited to costumes, props, and scenery must be incurred by the choreographer.
