The Interreg project MicroDrink aims to build and strengthen the institutional, administrative, and technical capacities of practitioners, decision-makers, and policy developers at various levels, while also raising public awareness about microplastics (MP) in the Danube region. The development and acceptance of harmonized sampling and analysis methods are intended to support cross-border and cross-sectoral collaboration, as well as facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experiences regarding the sampling, analysis, monitoring, and risk assessment of drinking water resources in river basins with particular environmental concerns.
