Thank you for taking the time to complete this application form. Radio Skid Row is a community radio station that relies on volunteers to operate. Our mission is to amplify the voices of the most marginalized and contribute to building more just, strong, and resilient communities. Your application is greatly appreciated, and if we are unable to respond promptly, please don't hesitate to reach out to the station directly to express your interest in getting involved.

If you're interested in hosting a live radio program or podcast, please submit a program application after completing the onboarding process. You'll receive the program application form at the end of your onboarding journey.

Please note that all new volunteers must complete the onboarding process. However, if you believe you already have relevant experience and wish to submit a program application, please email stationmanager@skidrow.com.au to make your pitch.

The onboarding process spans a month and consists of weekly sessions lasting 3-4 hours each. During this program, you will receive training in basic presenting and production skills, familiarize yourself with relevant station policies and procedures, learn about workplace health and safety protocols, and gain insights into media law.

Once we've received your application, we will be in touch to offer you a spot in the next available onboarding program. Upon completion of the program and submission of your assessment, you'll be granted access to the station building and digital communication channels, enabling you to cover shows and practice your skills.

If you're not offered a spot immediately, please wait at least a month before contacting us at stationmanager@skidrow.com.au. Simply mention that you've previously submitted an application and express your continued interest in enrolling in the onboarding program.
