Verde, 350 PDX, and the Bird Alliance of Oregon are inviting all Portland City Council Candidates to a PCEF project tour on Friday, August 2nd, from 10am – 2pm. Here is a detailed schedule of the tour. This tour will educate candidates about the important role of PCEF in supporting climate action, create connections among PCEF staff, PCEF funded projects and candidates, and further city policy that takes real steps for environmental justice action and climate resilience. The tour will visit projects from the organizations Depave, the Centennial School District, Street Roots, the Goodling Community Solar Annex, and Zenger Farm. Here is a description of the project sites.
The tour will meet at
Oliver Middle School at 10am. A bus will take all participants to the project sites, where the host organization will present and lead a tour of the project. The tour will return to Oliver Middle School by 2pm.
We will provide beverages and snacks but ask tour participants to bring their own lunch. Bathrooms will be available at select project sites. As the Goodling Annex is currently under construction, please wear closed toe shoes and no shorts.
