CEHD Research Day 2020 - Call for Poster Presentations
CEHD Research Day will be held on Thursday, March 26, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm in Memorial Hall, McNamara Alumni Center.
Poster presentations that showcase CEHD faculty, staff, and student research will be considered for this event. Prizes will be given to the "best" poster in each category, as voted by attendees. Please see
for more information about the categories. These categories are intended to be broad and inclusive
- Education Research and Educational Equity
- Living Better, Living Longer
- Children's Mental Health and Welfare
- Autism and Developmental Disabilities
Graduate and undergraduate students are invited to present their research. Priority for student posters will be given to research led by students, such as McNair and UROP projects or thesis/dissertation research.
Each poster will be provided with a 4' x 8' tack board to which the posters will be attached (t-pins and tape provided), a 6' table, and 2 chairs. All poster stations will have an electrical outlet available. Free poster printing will be available in advance of Research Day through the CEHD Dean's Office.
Poster proposals are due by the end of the day on FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 21. Proposals will be reviewed by a team of faculty and research staff, and results will be communicated by Friday, Friday, February 28. If you don't receive an email by February 28, please contact Ellen Freeman at

Please provide the name of the presenter(s) who will be at Research Day to present the poster. Each poster must have a presenter, and the same person cannot present more than one poster except in extraordinary circumstances. At least one presenter should be available for the full 11:00 - 1:00 time period.
Please provide a 150-200 word abstract describing the content of the poster. This abstract will appear on the Research Day website and in the printed program.
Please identify the CEHD strategic research area with which your poster is best aligned. See
for a description of the four areas. If you have questions about which area your poster best fits with, please ask! These are intended to be broad, non-exclusionary categories.
