What is the Cultiva Youth Project? The Boulder Cultiva Youth Project is a youth leadership program in which youth ages 12-18 operate an urban organic farm, growing food for the Boulder community while developing leadership and job skills. As a member of the Farm Crew and Junior Farm crew, you’ll seed, tend and harvest organic produce for Growing Gardens’ Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) , which provides a weekly share of vegetables for 69 community members. Throughout the summer, farm crew members deepen connections with the community by engaging in volunteer projects, and by gleaning and donating produce to community members in need.
This is a great way to get hands-on job experience in an outdoor garden setting with a community of fun, respectful, hard-working people from all over Boulder! The Cultiva Youth Project farm is located at 1630 Hawthorn Ave. in Boulder and is easily accessed by the bike path and bus.
