Thank you for enquiring about private hire at HOME! Before we take any of your details, here is some important information you should know:

The Essentials:

• Capacity: Our maximum (indoor) capacity is 60 people, but we can have some overspill into the garden. Please note, however, that the garden closes at 9pm. 

• Minimum Spend: On quotation - this is dependent on how many attendees you have, when and for how long you'd like to use the space. We try to keep this as low as we can, just to ensure we're covering staffing costs for the time, and it's financially viable for us to close to the general public. 

• Deposit: £200 to secure the date. This acts as a guarantee against the minimum spend and a security/damage deposit, and is typically returned at the end of the event, once we've checked everything is in the condition it was in when you arrived.

• Opening Times: Our opening times are available on Instagram and website. We can open during closed hours for your private event, however we cannot stay open past 1.30am on Fridays and Saturdays due to our licence. 

• Expected Attendance: Please keep us updated if any changes to number of expected attendees so we can ensure enough bar staff are programmed and you get your drinks quickly on the night. 

Food & Drink:

• Food: You’re welcome to bring your own food. Please ensure all allergens are clearly labeled for your guests. As this is external food, HOME cannot take responsibility for its preparation or storage. We just ask that all leftover food and packaging are bagged up at the end of the night.

• Drinks: All drinks must be purchased from the bar. Any "specials" you’d like us to stock? Cocktails, certain spirits, or snacks?

• External Alcohol: Please remind guests that they cannot bring their own alcohol into the venue.

Outdoor Areas & Neighbors:

• Rear Area: Unfortunately due to our license the rear outside area will be closed at 21:00.

• Smoking:  Guests are welcome to use Garden until 9pm then smoke outside the front door after 21:00, but drinks cannot be taken outside the front of the venue (drinks ok in the garden). 

Music & Tech:

• DJ: In store we have 2 turntables & mixer for vinyl DJs, as well as a controller for digital DJs which can be connected to your laptop.
  
  Please note that DJs playing vinyl must bring their own records - any records in the shop are off limits (unless purchased)! 
  
  Alternatively, we can plug your phone or laptop in if you have a ready-to-go playlist.
  
  If you'd like any recommendations for DJs, please ask! Not only are Owain and Rachel who run the venue both DJs themselves, we know plenty in the local area that play a broad range of genres.

• Equipment list:

  - Microphone

• Equipment Safety: We will test the sound levels with your DJ at the start. Please note: any damage to our speakers or audio equipment caused by things such as "red-lining" (playing too loud/distorting) or spills will be the financial responsibility of the hirer.
  

• Live Music: We can accommodate live music on a small scale, however you must provide any equipment yourself and ensure it's PAT tested in advance. 

• The Check-out: At the end of your event, a member of the HOME staff will test the speakers/kit with you or your DJ to sign them off as working. Providing everything works as you were given it, then we are happy to return the deposit. 

Decorations: You're welcome to decorate! We just ask for no drilling or tape/tack that damages the paintwork. Any damage to the venue or equipment will be deducted from the deposit; if costs exceed the deposit, the difference must be settled within 14 days.

Security: While our licence doesn't strictly require it, we recommend hiring one security guard (approx. £15–£20 per hour), which will help prevent random people from wandering into your party. This would be booked through a reputable company chosen by HOME, and we recommend having security after 9pm, if not for the entire duration of the event. 

To lock in the date: Once we have confirmed that we are happy to go ahead with your booking, we will send you our payment details for the deposit. The date is not confirmed until we have received payment - until then, it remains open to other potential  bookings.
