Welcome to Middcat! We are a student organization that runs workshops for artists of all skill levels. Materials are always provided, and as board members we are expected to lead and support in every way we can. This is a great opportunity to learn more about CAT, which could help you if you decide to apply for other leadership positions within the board next year.
Currently, we are looking for events committee members for the 2025-26 school year. We are hoping to accept 2-3 students for these positions. What is it like being on the committee?
You will be asked to:
- Generate new event ideas and help coordinate event details with other members of the board
- Attend weekly board meetings (Sundays at 5:30-6:30pm)
- Host at least 1-2 events per semester (it sounds scary, but we promise there is lots of support and you will have co-hosts if you so choose)
- Bring a positive attitude and kindness!
We are also looking for a social media chair! In this position, you will be asked to:
- Design posters for our upcoming events (we usually use CANVA, but you can take creative freedoms with this)
- Attend weekly board meetings (Sundays at 5:30-6:30pm)
- Host at least 1-2 events per semester
- Manage the instagram account and post before and after each event
- Hang posters around campus to advertise the event, along with the rest of the board
- Bring a positive attitude and kindness!
