Branches Long Island is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting Long Island families in need. Each year, with the help of generous sponsors, donors, and community partners, we work to ensure local children start the school year with the supplies they need to succeed.

By becoming a sponsor, you are helping provide essential school supplies and easing the financial burden on families facing difficult circumstances. Your support helps students begin the school year feeling prepared, confident, and excited to learn.

Every child deserves the opportunity to walk into school ready for success. We dedicate ourselves to provide necessities to those in need, advocate for those who may not have a voice and empower those who need to be uplifted in a time of crisis.  We got you always!

🟣How Sponsoring works: 
Use this form to sponsor a child with a Backpack and Supplies this school year. The average cost to sponsor a child is about $50-$100. Each "twig" will need and new backpack and the supplies requested for a successful school year. 

A member from our Back to School Events team will email/text you shortly.  You will be provided with a shopping list.

🟣Drop offs are anytime up until 8/10/26 

🟣Drop off is at our Center located at: 
588 Middle Country Road, Middle Island, NY 11953. 

🟣Sponsoring is a commitment. Please remember if you sponsor a child and do not show for drop off there will be a child missing a backpack and school supplies.

Please be mindful of the many hours our volunteers put in to make our events successful and show up for your drop off date.  We appreciate you💜
