Capital Maintenance Needs

The Hudson School District has worked to maintain facilities within the constraints of its annual budget. Most school district annual budgets do not provide adequate resources for large capital maintenance projects like heating, air conditioning, roofs, and new windows.

Operational Efficiencies and Student Enrollments

At the same time, the School District is experiencing multiple large capital maintenance projects, we are also experiencing declining student enrollment. There are operational inefficiencies that occur when maintaining more space than what is actually needed. Over the past 5 years, the Hudson School District has had a decline in approximately 600 students (click here to view the Applied Population Enrollment Study)

Educational Environments

The way we teach and learn has changed since most of our community members were in school. Gone are the days of lecture, in are the days of flexible spaces that allow children to learn in large and small groups. Learning spaces that encourage collaboration and hands-on experiences.
