Submit your Mapping Racism Story
Mapping Racism is a collaborative project that seeks to document racial inequality as well as triumphs despite societal norms of land use, barriers to property ownership, or examples of restrictive deed convenants and other legal means that influenced property ownership.

Your stories, historical research, articles and images will support to create resources to educate our community about their effects and spark a dialogue about the ongoing impact this racist practice has on our community. Stories and details of resilience are sought to share the histories that brought break-throughs for women, people of color and various faiths to become land and business owners in Prince George's County.

Mapping Racism is a creative partnership between Hyattsville Community Development Corporation and Joe’s Movement Emporium.

Please share with us your photos, stories, ideas, articles and experiences as it pertains to this project.
