Interested in Living at Monument?
Monument is a co-living and event space in SOMA that supports creative people across all different fields. Our current residents include fine artists, performers, academics, engineers and CEOs. We are looking for new housemates who are interested in a community with different worldviews and who would be excited to contribute their own. We like people who are kind, smart, curious, and incredibly driven. High EQ and personal responsibility is a must - no leaving dishes in the sink!

About our residents: We currently have a dozen residents in their 20s to 40s. We hang out with each other often, though most of us also lead active lives outside of the house. There are often friends from the fine arts, tech, circus, and queer scenes stopping by. Many of us have worn many hats professionally -- some of us are just getting started with new careers while others are renowned in their fields.

About events: You can expect a couple casual things each week and a couple large-scale events a month. Residents attend most for free, bonus points if you're interested in hosting events or helping out!

About your room: Available rooms range from $1000 for the smallest [110sqft] to $1650 for the largest [180sqft]. Basic furnishing available. Utilities are $150/person. Couples are welcome to share a room.

Other info: No roaming pets. No smoking indoors. Street parking only, we have a loading dock for temporary use. All residents participate in a monthly chore shift [1-2 hours] and a monthly house meeting [1-2 hours].

Residency: We happily offer short-term sublets for 1-3 months. For longer-term residency we typically begin with a 3-month sublet to ensure community fit.
