VOLUNTEERS NEEDED for J-QUIZ 2017!
What is J-Quiz?
The J-Quiz is a competition by high school students of Japanese language and culture. It is sponsored by the Japan America Society of Minnesota and Minnesota Council of Teachers of Japanese. The competion is modeled after a quiz show format and aims to make the study of Japan challenging and enjoyable. The top teams advance to the final round in front of their peers with the first place team in each level going on a trip to Washington D.C., and participating in the National Japan Bowl!
When: 7:30 am - 11:45 am on Saturday, February 18th, 2017
(Extension to 3:30 pm optional)
Where: Normandale Community College (9700 France Ave S, Bloomington, MN 55431)
Above schedule is for the entire event. Minimum time commitment for volunteers is from 7:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. for the Preliminary Rounds. If you are willing to stay and work for the Final Rounds as well, that’s all the better!
Light breakfast and a bento box for lunch will be provided.

The only prerequisite to be a volunteer is that you have to be a high school graduate.
Volunteers will be asked to attend a 60-minute workshop sometime in early February.
