STAFF APPLICATION: FLORIDA HOPE 2019
Use this form to apply to serve as a Staff member for Florida Hope, March 7-10, 2019 at Indian River State College in Fort Pierce, Florida. The pre-requisite to serve as a staff member is having been a participant in a CHSE exercise. The Staff Application deadline is midnight, Friday January 11, 2019. At that point staff selection processes will begin. Additional applications will be accepted based on need. Staff selection notifications will go out as soon as staff selection has been completed.

DISASTER RESPONSE FIELD TRAINING EXERCISE
Treasure Coast Public Safety Complex at Indian River State College
WHO: Sponsored by the Consortium for Humanitarian Service and Education and the Northwest Missouri State University Emergency and Disaster Management Program for students, community members, and local and state responders.
WHAT:
Four day disaster response field training exercise focused on:
Epidemiological Investigation and Incident Response
Incident Command System
Psychological First Aid
Mass Casualty Incident
Evidence Collection and Investigation
Victim Information and Victim Assistance Centers
WHEN: Staff Arrive Wednesday March 6, 2019 with staff training starting first thing in the morning of Thursday March 7. Participants are to arrive no earlier than 12:00 PM and no later than 5:00 PM, Thursday March 7.
WHERE: Training Area: Treasure Coast Public Safety Complex at Indian River State College in Fort Pierce, Florida.
WHY: This domestic disaster response exercise challenges participants to overcome their fears and hone their skills as emergency responders. Participants work together in teams where they rotate leadership positions and are challenged with mass casualty situations, high angle rescues, and water rescue operations.
