A little information about the performers:

HERitage emBODYment: Sekhmet Unraveled
Overview: Sekhmet Unraveled is a multi-media, multi-modal, multi-lingual (English, Arabic, Fadjiki) performance that uses our personal stories and cultural histories to draw parallels between the migration of humans and artifacts. Deeply satirical, humorous, and rooted in our indigenous performance traditions (oral storytelling, music, dance, puppetry, clowning), we invite audiences to witness us re-author what it means to be Egyptian, Nubian, and American as we intertwine our lived histories with our ancestors’ memories.
