Miraaa Commission Application

Miraaa Media Festival's mission is to connect and empower local Border artists to connect, collaborate and be part of a local artist community.


We are looking for 6 Laredo and 6 RGV based artists to unite in a commissioned art piece? That is three collaborations in RGV and three collaborations in Laredo! 

Are you a musician looking for a killer music video? Are you a video artist looking for an awesome score?  Send us your work before November 1 at midnight to be considered to be debuted in Miraaa Media Fest 2023.

  • The selected artists will be paired with another local artist in order to collaborate on a commission to be featured at Miraaa Media Fest 2.
  • The curation process will take the following into account for the selected artist: experiences in film/video production, their artistic background and creative interests to pair individuals who compliment each other in skill and vision. 
  • The collaboration should lean into the experimental but there are no creative limitations other than the  run time (5-10 minutes).
  • The selected collaboration duo will each be paid $600 on the completion of work. 
  • Selected artists will be notified early November.
  • 6 Rio Grande Valley artists and 6 Laredo artists will be selected
