REGISTRATION DEADLINE is Thursday, August 29, 8:00 pm. ELIGIBILITY No entry fee. The show will be judged and ribbon prizes will be awarded in each medium category. One award per artist per category. Categories will be determined based on entries. This show is open to MAA dues-paid members only. Membership is $30.00 per year. Remember, dues for the upcoming member year (September 1, 2019 to August 31, 2020) must be paid to be in this exhibit. You can send your membership check to MAA, P.O. Box 1981, Manchester, CT 06045 or you can pay your dues at the drop-off.
DROP-OFF Friday, August 30, 10 - 12:30 pm in the Friends Room of the Library. You may submit either one large (not to exceed 40" on a side) or up to two small (not to exceed 20 inches on a side) pieces of artwork. Items submitted MUST BE ORIGINAL WORK DONE SOLELY BY THE ARTIST. All media accepted. Artwork must be able to be hung on the wall; no freestanding sculpture (small pieces may be displayed in the library's glass display cases). Please attach a note to the back of each piece with your name and the name of the artwork. Artwork must be securely framed and ready to hang with D-rings or screw eyes and wire (no tooth hooks or staples). Inappropriately framed works are subject to refusal. Interested buyers will be referred to you. A price list with artists’ phone numbers will be at the library circulation desk.
OPENING RECEPTION AND AWARDS CEREMONYSunday, September 15, 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Family and friends are welcome! Please bring a sweet or savory finger food to share. The reception is free and open to the public.
PICK-UP Monday, September 30, 10:00 am to 11:30 am in the Friends Room of the Library. PLEASE DO NOT COME EARLIER. All entries must stay intact for the duration of the exhibit. A committee member must check out entries.
