2022 Parade Date: Tuesday, December 13, 2022
Staging starts at 4:30 PM & Parade starts at 6:30 PM
Entrants are asked to be in place no later than 5:45 PM
Riders will disembark their float at the Marriott on Daniel Morgan. The Santa Float is the last entry in the parade and generally reaches the Marriott between 8:15 PM and 8:30 PM, depending on the number of entries in the parade.

REGISTRATION OPENS: Monday, October 3, 2022
ENTRY DEADLINE:  Monday, November 28, 2022
After you submit your application for entry, we will email you confirmation of your registration.  We will confirm your total amount due, and we will provide you with your different payment options in the email.  Please give us about three business days to get back to you once you submit your application.  This is a 100% volunteer-led effort, and all of our members work full-time day-jobs, so sometimes it takes a few days for us to catch up in our downtime.  We appreciate your understanding in this matter!

PAYMENT DEADLINE:  Wednesday, November 30, 2022
Payments sent to our PO Box must be postmarked by 11/28/22.
Payments sent electronically (via PayPal) must to processed by the payment deadline.
Late fee of $100.00 will apply to Category A entrants who submit payment after 11/30/2022
Late fee of $50.00 will apply to Category B entrants who submit payment after 11/30/2022

WAIVER:  All Applicants must submit a Liability Waiver.  You will receive a PDF copy of the waiver at the same time we confirm your Registration via email.  Waivers can be scanned and emailed to us once signed.  Please send to spartanburgjaycees@gmail.com once filled out and signed by an authorized representative of your organization.  We require only one waiver per entry; no need for every member of your group to sign one.

A list of available floats with photos can be found on the Jaycees website as of 9/5/2022.  Entrants renting a float may choose to have the Jaycees light your float (Lighted) or you may provide your own lights (Self Lighted).  One professional float rental per entrant/organization, as these rentals are extremely limited.

Renting a Lighted Float through the Jaycees is simple; your designated riders need only show up and ride in the parade!  The Jaycees will decorate your float with Christmas Lights and provide a generator to power them.

If you select the Self Lighted Float, you will be responsible for putting Christmas Lights on your float, and you will have to provide your own generator to power them.  In accordance with the Parade Rules and Regulations, all entries must be decorated and lit in a Christmas theme, as our nighttime parade is a "Festival of Lights!"

Commercial entries are business and for profit organizations.
Not-For-Profit entries include civic organizations, churches, government entities, 501(C)(3), and similar organizations.

All other entries include self-built floats (flat beds, trailers, and similar entries), automobiles, walking groups, etc.  ALL Category B entries must be decorated and lit in a Christmas theme according to the Parade Rules and Regulations.  Decoration and float designs must be approved by the Parade committee.

For the 2022 Parade, the Jaycees will be recording and broadcasting LIVE on Facebook!  Real-time comments with YOUR organization's information will appear on the live feed, and they will also appear in the recorded video that will be available to stream on-demand after Parade Day.  Please note that a Character Count Limit has been established so that viewers can easily digest the information while enjoying the Parade.  If you need help editing your message for content or length, please email us at spartanburgjaycees@gmail.com so that we can assist your organization in making a lasting impression on all of our parade viewers!

Refunds for a rain-out or other cancellation of the parade caused by forces beyond the control of the Spartanburg Jaycees will be at the discretion of the Spartanburg Jaycees.
