Healthy Worksite Bike Rack Application
In honor of National Bike Month the Bear River Health Department is reimbursing up to $2000 to worksites/businesses in Cache County to purchase and install a bike rack that will be accessible to employees and/or customers.

Studies state that biking to work improves employee retention and productivity, as well as helping employees meet the CDC’s physical activity guideline of 150 minutes of activity per week. Currently only 22.9% of adults in Cache County meet the weekly physical activity recommendation. With the mean travel time to work being 16.6 minutes for those in Cache County, the Bear River Health Department (BRHD) encourages biking as a form of transportation to and from work.

Worksites/Businesses in Cache County are eligible to apply up to a maximum of $1000 per worksite application (can include multiple bike racks). Applications are due May 24, 2019. A review committee will review all applications.
