When you get down to the core issues, the common ground is often larger than it may appear. So that is where we want to start. Before jumping to solutions, we want to make sure we are asking the right questions — that we have framed the challenges honestly and prioritized correctly.
We know Connecticut residents are facing real issues across many fronts and we know we cannot tackle everything at once. We want to hear from you. Help us frame the problems correctly and tell us which ones matter most to you. Once we do this, we can then start tackling the question of how we fix it: which solutions are workable, which tradeoffs are acceptable, and importantly, whose voices need to be in the room to get there.
This survey does two things. First, it asks whether we are describing each challenge the way you actually experience it. Second, it asks you to tell us what is most urgent and what we may be missing entirely.
For each issue below, rate its importance on a 1–5 scale (1 = low priority, 5 = high priority). Add notes anywhere we've framed something you feel is incorrect or incomplete. At the end, chose your top 5 issues and if we have missed something, please tell us.
