Mutual Aid Mourning and Healing Support Signup for Death Midwives/Doulas, Social Workers, Therapists, & Healers
Dear Death Midwives/Doulas, Social Workers, Therapists, & Healers,
In the time of growing pandemic, there are increasing numbers of people grieving the loss of a loved one/s who cannot afford death midwifery, grief counseling, healing services, and/or other services that may help them experience and integrate their grief.
As a group of Chicago-based organizers, we're compiling a national database of death midwives/doulas, social workers, therapists, & healers who are willing/able to offer their pro bono services to the rapidly growing numbers of people who will need this critical support. We're specifically asking for folks who can provide one on one support/counseling and/or facilitate grief and healing circles and/or services using Zoom conferencing.
If you would like to be on our list, please fill out the form below. Filling out this form is not a hard and fast commitment. If you are on our list, you will be contacted if/when your help is needed - all we ask is that you reply promptly when contacted to let us know if you are available. We will be offering orientations for anyone unfamiliar with Zoom, which will include pointers on how best to use it for these purposes.
Thank you in advance for considering our request.
Kelly Hayes, Tanuja Jagernauth, Heather Lynn, Nina D'Angier, Ashon Crawley, and Rabbi Brant Rosen.
