Thank you for your interest in serving as a homestay host for Fremont Christian School. We welcome your application to this important ministry. We want to provide loving, Christian homes that are welcoming students as part of the family. This application is the place to start. Once we receive it, along with the accompanying photos, we will contact you with next steps. Typically, these steps include an interview with an FCS administrator to talk more about what to expect should you take on this important role. There will be other school documents to read, a contract to consider, a visit to your home by a school administrator, and successful background checks via social security number will be required.

Generally, meals and snacks, family activities, inclusion on family travel except at Christmas, a private room with a desk and storage along with a shared bathroom, all transportation, encouragement with school work and school activities, addressing health needs, and some communication with the student's parents will be expected. FCS personnel who speak Mandarin will always be available for support.

Students may arrive in early August and stay through early June. Substitutes are sometimes available to help with care but we ask the family to take the homestay student with them anywhere they would take their own child. FCS pays a homestay stipend of $2000 per month which is used to care for the student.
