Mi Estori: Milestones and Reflections Submission
Mi Estori is an annual event held by Queer-Trans Creators of Color who take space and make space for emerging creators. The year 2019 is a year of milestones: 50th Anniversary of Stonewall, the 1969 Moon Landing, and even the creation of Woodstock Music Festival. However, the year 2019 has also been a year to reflect on our future: 125 women were elected into congress; Notre Dame in France and Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem both caught on fire; and Botswana joined the list of countries to decriminalize LGBTQ+ people.

The idea of anniversaries, milestones, and reflection brings us to the theme for this year: a quote from the mother of the LGBTQ+ liberation, Marsha P Johnson, which is: "Nobody promised you tomorrow." The quote, "Nobody promised you tomorrow" is a universal feeling that does not limit itself to political and activists agendas. Mi Estori wants the quote to be interpreted from different perspectives, mediums, and genres. Please submit what you feel the quote reflects in you.
