It's time to celebrate! 

Can you believe how far we've come since we came together as a community in 2020? Join us at the Chittenden Reservoir on Saturday September 30th for outdoor fun, great food, and wild friends at the first-ever annual gathering of Standing Trees and the Save Public Forests Coalition.

Please RSVP below to help us plan, to join a carpool, and to make sure you get updates as the event approaches.

Agenda for Saturday September 30th
  • 10am - Hike and Paddle! Meet at the boat launch parking area (directions above) for three outing options: 1) an easy walk (approximately 2 miles round trip) over flat terrain to Congdon Point for a view over the Chittenden Reservoir and the ~12,000-acre Telephone Gap logging project, proposed by the Green Mountain National Forest; 2) a moderate paddle across Chittenden Reservoir followed by a hike to look at forests that are proposed to be logged in the Telephone Gap logging project; 3) paddle at your own pace and return to the boat launch! Please RSVP below.
  • 12:30pm-2pm - Lunch, music, food, and friends
  • 2pm - Short program
  • 2:30-4:30pm - Campfire, lawn games and more hanging out!
Things to remember:
  • ***This event is FREE, but we need your help to make it a success. Please bring a camp chair and eating utensils (including cup and bowl/plate), and please bring a dish to share if you are able (RSVP below).***
  • Dress for fall weather!
  • Sunday October 1 is our rain date. Please RSVP below so that we can let you know if the event is being rescheduled!
