DPS Women in Astronomy Discussion Hour 2013 - Denver, CO

Welcome!

This event is an informal meeting for all interested parties. This means you do not have to be a woman to support women in science or be interested in learning some professional development tips, for yourself or to share with others :).

Date: Tuesday, October 8th
Time: 12:00-1:30 pm
Place: Governor's Square 15, Sheraton Hotel, Denver Colorado (DPS Conference Venue)

Overall Program
12:00 Lunch pick up and networking
12:15 Start of formal program:
- Updates from the World of Women in Planetary Science
- Leadership program and discussion
1:10-1:30 Open announcements and discussion...

Due to the generosity of the DPS committee (thank you!!), we will be able to provide boxed lunch this year.
--> Lunch orders needed to be placed with the hotel catering by Sept. 15th. After this date you can still register below up to the room capacity (100 people), but we cannot guarantee a lunch will be provided (a few extra will likely be available). Unfortunately our space is limited so RSVP early and forward this page to your colleagues: http://bit.ly/WIA_2013.

We look forward to seeing you there!

    New this Year!

Invite a friend or colleague who has never been to a WIPS lunch but might be interested to come with you. We are hoping this will make a wider crowd feel welcome attending. Most of the topics we discuss are of a general professional development nature, but of course we also have a focus on supporting female scientists. As always, you don’t have to be a female scientist to support female scientists :). (Please have them RSVP as well though, so we know to order them a lunch!) http://bit.ly/WIA_2013
