In recognition of Asian Heritage Month, we are honored to host a special speaker workshop featuring Dr. Art Miki, renowned educator, community leader, and author of Gaman. Led by students, Dr. Miki will share his personal and historical insights on the Japanese Canadian internment experience, human rights advocacy, and the importance of resilience in the face of injustice.

This conversation provides a unique opportunity for everyone to deepen their understanding of Asian Canadian histories, the ongoing impacts of systemic racism, and the power of storytelling in fostering inclusion and reconciliation.

Participation in this workshop supports our commitment to equity, diversity, and anti-racism education.
